 Laundry Processed Textiles Biocontamination Control System - Our Laundry Standard

EN 14065 shows to our customers that our laundry service has a system in place to control microbiological contamination in laundered textiles.

Daily Operations :

 ·  Identifying and recording potential biocontamination hazards

·  Setting up a team responsible for the system and controls

·  Implementing and operating the system

·  Putting in place monitoring systems

·  Recording results and non-conformance with systems

·  Reviewing the effectiveness of the system completing internal audits.

 We are committed to reducing our carbon footprint and water usage. At all four of our commercial laundry sites, we have implemented cutting-edge Ozone Technology, originally designed for NASA. This technology delivers remarkable results, destroying bacteria 3,000 times faster than traditional chemicals, reducing the need for rewashes, and using fewer chemicals which extend the lifespan of towel fibers. Ozone opens up fibers for a softer feel and eliminates 99.999% of bacteria, viruses, and molds, ensuring clinically clean laundry. It consistently produces brilliant white results, uses fewer chemicals, less water, and lower heat, making it eco-friendly. Additionally, Ozone ensures that discarded water is clean, paving the way for future recycling. By adopting Ozone Technology, we enhance service quality and contribute to a healthier planet. 

   With the help of the Islington Sustainability Network, of which we are members, we have initiated our solar panel project.  

These panels will generate enough electricity to power all the lighting in the warehouse, offices and our electric vehicle charging points outside, with excess power going back to the grid. The savings in terms of monthly bills and the environment are impressive and our aim is to roll panels out across all our units over the next 12 to 18 months. 

We currently operate and own a mixed fleet of 16  vans and lorries. 

Two of these vehicles are fully electric and are used  on a daily basis with a 70 mile range before a  charge is required. 

We believe that having strategically placed and  centrally based laundries reduces greatly the miles  we have to cover to get to clients, thus again  helping our footprint. 

By the end of 2024, we will look to increase our electric fleet and will be upgrading some other Luton vans at the same time, so we have a fleet  almost fully ULEZ exempt.
